Architecturally-designed as a 'modern blackhouse', Brighid was designed to reflect the natural heritage of traditional agricultural buildings on Lewis and the ancient rock on which it sits.
A holiday home that offers spectacular views out to sea and promises all the comforts of contemporary accommodation — raw natural beauty and luxury, combined.
Located on the north-west coast of the Isle of Lewis, Brighid is a luxury one-bedroom holiday home designed for solo travellers and couples only.
- Accommodation for two people, with one bedroom — unfortunately, we're unable to allow pets or additional guests to stay.
- Specifically designed to minimise impact on the environment — with energy-efficient technologies for hot water and underfloor heating throughout.
- Interior inspired by islands' Scandinavian connection — modern, minimalist furniture mixed with some traditional touches.
- Small wood-burning stove in the living space allows for cosy evenings.
- Full-height south-facing glazing.
- Outdoor decking, accessible from the bedroom and living space, allowing you to enjoy the views, whether indoors or outdoors.
- Full-height bathroom window (not overlooked or visible from driveway) positioned beside large freestanding bath, delivering total relaxation to enjoy sunsets or watch waves crashing on the shoreline.
Completed in 2022, Brighid is an architecturally designed holiday home that meets all current standards for energy efficiency. A single-storey property, all rooms are fully accessible / level-access.
Brighid is equipped with:
- Digital wireless controlled heating.
- Low-energy LED lighting throughout
- Remote-controlled roller blinds to all rooms (including blackout blind in bedroom) and voile curtains in the bathroom in addition to blinds.
- Large 55” HD TV in living space.
- Starlink high-speed satellite internet connection.
- Wood-burning stove in living space, with all required accessories.
- Deck chairs in the external storage box.
- Nespresso coffee machine, with selection of capsules (capsule recycle box provided)
