Visitors' View: Luke and Zaneta
If there's one thing we know about our little corner of the Outer Hebrides, here on the northwest coast of the Isle of Lewis, it's that it photographs very well.
Recently, we welcomed expert photographers and videographers Luke and Zaneta to Brighid for a few days — and they were kind enough to share with us some of their best shots from their stay.
The Isle of Lewis Coast
They joined us in November 2023 during a visit to the Isle of Lewis — combining some well-earned rest and relaxation with capturing some lovely shots and video clips, both up close and personal and from high above.
Details in the Decor
We love these shots (below) of the fine details within the house's interior — including the lighting fixtures, furniture and other home décor touches. Our Harris Tweed lampshades have never looked better.
Relaxing by the Fire
There's no better way to unwind at Brighid than lighting the fire, preparing some fine food and drink and putting your feet up to enjoy cosy comfort and panoramic ocean views, simultaneously. These shots capture that, beautifully.
And that dram looks lovely too.
Bath Time Reading
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, there's another fine way to let the stresses of life drift away than running a deep, warm bath, and relaxing with a good book and yet more fantastic Atlantic ocean views. Add fresh strawberries for a sweet treat, and you've got a wonderful afternoon in store.
Moments of Inspiration
The outdoor deck at Brighid is a place for quiet cuppas, yoga, reflection and enjoying the vast horizon across the Lewis coast — we love this shot of Zaneta surveying the rolling waves on a bright morning.
If you're looking for a holiday let in the Hebrides that lets you experience the wild, untamed ocean, Brighid is for you.
And it doesn't look bad at sunset either.
Dreamy Breakfast in Bed
Holidays are all about eating great meals in scenic settings and Luke and Zaneta's breakfast time photos got our stomachs rumbling. There's nothing more luxurious than a hearty, fresh breakfast in bed in the morning sunlight.
Stargazing on Lewis
This shot took our breath away — an amazing capture of the bright stars overhead on our wee corner of the Isle of Lewis coasts. Astronomers and stargazers will have a real treat during their stay at Brighid — the low light pollution on this stretch of coastline offers a beautiful night sky to marvel at.
